To access Canvas, please following these simple steps:

  1. Go to
  2. On the log in prompt, type your myPHSC Login ID and password.
  3. Enter your login ID. Your myPHSC ID is the first portion of your PHSC email address (before the @ symbol). It is also the first six characters of your last name plus the first character of your first name. For example, if your email is, your username is smithj.
  4. Enter your password. Your password in the same as your Groupwise/Novell Network login. If your password has expired or does not work, please contact the Help Desk at 727-816-3311 to have your password reset.
  5. Select “Go to Canvas” located in the first tile on the home screen in the portal. 

Special Note: It is important to set up your password responses in the Self Service Password Reset (SSPR) system to ensure you can access your account after your password expires. For more information, please review the information below.

Change Password and Setup Password Responses  

  1. Go to and login with your current myPHSC Login ID and password.
  2. To setup your security questions and responses:
    • If you have never setup your security questions, you will be taken to the page to setup your security questions and responses.
      • Once you set up the three (3) security questions and responses you click on Save Answers.
      • The next step requires you to confirm your responses. You must Confirm your information in order for the information to be saved in the SSPR.
      • You can then click Continue to go back to the Home Page.
    •  If you have setup your security questions and would like to modify them, after you login you will select Setup Security Questions in the menu
  3. We also suggest that you change your password to ensure your PHSC account is secure. You can change your password by clicking on Change Password from the Main menu after logging in. You will need to change your password every 60 days.
  4. Log into myPHSC using your updated password.

Forgot Your myPHSC Password 

Once your security questions and responses are setup, you will be able to use the Forgot password function to reset your password. To do this:

  1. Select the Forgot Password link on the login page and the follow the directions.
  2. Answer your secret question using the information you provided when first setting up your account.

If you are unable to log into myPHSC or the SSPR and did not set up your secret questions, please contact the Help Desk at 727-816-3311 to have your password reset.
