The Manual for E-Learning at PHSC provides guidelines for instructors teaching and developing blended, hybrid, and online courses at PHSC. The manual covers the following topics:

  • Definition of e-learning at PHSC including the different modalities, SACSCOC guidelines, and the student and faculty role in the e-learning process
  • Development of model e-courses including approval, development, review, and payment
  • Best practices for e-courses including accessibility, course structure, efficiency, presence, communication, digital learning resources, copyright compliance, and academic integrity and dishonesty
  • E-teaching best practices including e-certification requirements, instructional assignments, workload and standard class size, faculty support, evaluation of e-teaching, and attendance in online courses
  • Resources including useful links, PHSC’s e-course development process and rubric, and additional best practices for designing e-courses
